Thin slices of Rib Eye steak seasoned with California Gold BBQ Rub, sliced red peppers, onions and mushrooms, topped with provolone cheese! Get the griddle ready by placing some coal and heating up the griddle.<\/div>\n<div>2. Slice the steak as thinly as possible. Season it with the California Gold BBQ rub and set it aside.<\/div>\n<div>3. Grease the griddle with the oil. Cook onions on the griddle until translucent, put some butter and season with salt and pepper. Put on one side of the griddle.<\/div>\n<div>4. Cook up the mushrooms and peppers similarly by seasoning them with salt and pepper. Add some butter to the mushrooms. Place on the sides of he griddle.<\/div>\n<div>5. Cook the beef slices. Mix up onion, peppers and mushrooms with the beef and saut\u00e9 them together on the griddle.<\/div>\n<div>6. Toast the buns on the griddle.<\/div>\n<div>7. Place the provolone slices on top of the meat vegetable mix. Let the cheese melt a bit.<\/div>\n<div>8. Put warm cheesy meat and vegetable mix in between the toasted buns. today we\u2019re making Philly cheese steak sandwiches on the MoJoe Griddle for the Cooking Everything Outdoors show.<br \/>\nSo before we get started let me throw out a caveat of some sort, a disclaimer, if you will, I\u2019m not from Philadelphia.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve never been to Philadelphia.<br \/>\nSo I cannot give you a personal perspective on Philly cheese steak sandwiches.<br \/>\nHowever, I have had them and I enjoy them.<br \/>\nThere are so many various different ways that I\u2019ve seen people put them together.<br \/>\nI\u2019m not sure what is original anymore.<br \/>\nI do know that it was originally a hoagie roll and some beef, and that was about it.<br \/>\nAnd then a little later on they added some cheese and people have modified it over the years from there.<br \/>\nSo this is kind of just my basic version of that, maybe a couple of small tweaks.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t shoot the chef.<br \/>\nBut I think you\u2019ll enjoy this.<br \/>\nI am going to be using the MoJoe Griddle.<br \/>\nYou saw me in a previous video setting that up and seizing it and doing a quick little cook.<br \/>\nWell, this time we\u2019re going to do a little bit of a bigger cook with it.<br \/>\nAnd I think you\u2019re really going to enjoy this and hopefully, you\u2019ll consider it for your kettle grill or your campfire because it\u2019s pretty cool.<br \/>\nSo before I get started and go over the ingredients with you, I want to get my charcoal going and start preheating my MoJoe Griddle.<br \/>\nFirst to start out with I am using a ribeye steak.<br \/>\nNow, I\u2019ve seen it where people use sirloin tip, ribeye roast and, you know, roast beef, if you will, from the deli counter and just a ton of different things that I have seen them use.<br \/>\nNow, if you\u2019re going to pick up a ribeye or anything else, you know, you can certainly go have your butcher slice it for you and they would slice it thinly this way so you\u2019re going to get a wider profile.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to slice it horizontally or vertically\u2026 no, horizontally and I\u2019m going to try to get as thin a piece as possible out of this.<br \/>\nThis has been partially frozen, so it\u2019s going to be really easy to cut.<br \/>\nI\u2019m using provolone cheese.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve seen people use Cheez Whiz, American cheese.<br \/>\nThere\u2019s a whole bunch of different versions.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going provolone.<br \/>\nI got a couple of rolls here that I\u2019ve sliced.<br \/>\nI didn\u2019t find hoagie rolls.<br \/>\nSo I\u2019m making another violation there using these.<br \/>\nI have some sliced onion, some sliced red bell pepper, sliced mushrooms.<br \/>\nThese are just the white ones.<br \/>\nYou can use crimini.<br \/>\nSome salt, some pepper.<br \/>\nAnd then I\u2019m going with some seasoning, I\u2019m going to be using the California Gold BBQ Rub on my meat just to give it a little bit of different flavor profile.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a garlic herb and spice mix.<br \/>\nA little bit of butter and a little bit of canola oil.<br \/>\nAnd now I want to slice up my meat.<br \/>\nOkay, so here\u2019s our beef.<br \/>\nAnd I want to try to get as thin slice as possible.<br \/>\nThis, you know, certainly doesn\u2019t have to be perfect but just get some nice thin slices out of there.<br \/>\nSlightly frozen and a sharpen knife as you have.<br \/>\nNow, that our meat\u2019s cut I want to give it a little bit of the seasoning ahead of time.<br \/>\nMost of the time when I\u2019ve seen them cook this they\u2019d just season it right on the griddle as it\u2019s cooking\u2026 I\u2019ll do this way.<br \/>\nSo if you remember from my first video, I put a little bit of water on there, and if it dances it is ready to go.<br \/>\nAnd that\u2019s dancing, okay?<br \/>\nThat\u2019s the easy way to clean the griddle there.<br \/>\nA couple of essential tools to have when cooking with the MoJoe Griddle are a couple of good spatulas, nice, stout, hearty, easy flippable and this is a scraper spatula, highly recommend having a couple of these on hand when you\u2019re cooking on the MoJoe Griddle or any griddle.<br \/>\nNow, make sure you have all of your ingredients ready and by your side because this cook is going to go really, really fast.<br \/>\nYou don\u2019t want to be running off to the kitchen to try to figure things out.<br \/>\nOkay, so the first thing we want to do is test to make sure our griddle is not too terribly hot.<br \/>\nEven though I\u2019ve leveled this it\u2019s going to run off the side, so you have to be prepared for a little bit of a mess.<br \/>\nYou\u2019re going to lose some pieces.<br \/>\nBut it\u2019s smoky and that looks nice.<br \/>\nAnd what I\u2019ll do is I\u2019ll just take a piece of onion now and see how we\u2019re doing.<br \/>\nThat\u2019s looking pretty good.<br \/>\nNow, if it\u2019s too hot you\u2019re going to go down and adjust your bottom vent, but this is looking like we\u2019re in good shape here.<br \/>\nSo let\u2019s get our onions going.<br \/>\nI do want to add a little bit of butter in there.<br \/>\nGot our butter and onions.<br \/>\nOh my gosh, it smells good.<br \/>\nA little bit of salt.<br \/>\nJust a smidge of pepper.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to let those cook up.<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll get our peppers on.<br \/>\nAdd salt.<br \/>\nLittle pepper.<br \/>\nLet this cook up a bit and then we will get our mushrooms and our steak going.<br \/>\nOkay, let\u2019s get our mushrooms on, just a smidge more oil, not much.<br \/>\nAgain, salt and pepper.<br \/>\nLike a little butter on my mushrooms.<br \/>\nAnd keep working everything.<br \/>\nMushrooms are turning out nice.<br \/>\nNow, I\u2019m going to start cooking the beef.<br \/>\nAnd that is going to cook rather fast.<br \/>\nQuite often with the Philly steak it\u2019s chopped up.<br \/>\nI don\u2019t think I\u2019m going to do that on mine.<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll see.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t overcook your meat.<br \/>\nOkay, let\u2019s start putting this all together.<br \/>\nLook at that.<br \/>\nOkay, buns.<br \/>\nBecause we are seconds away from serving this up.<br \/>\nNow, we need to add our cheese.<br \/>\nAnd I\u2019m using provolone.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s see if I can get about half of this.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019re just going to flop that right in there.<br \/>\nHoly moly, will you look at that?<br \/>\nAnd, of course, we\u2019ll need a nice cold ale to top it off.<br \/>\nWell, there you have it, Philly cheese steak sandwich cooked on the MoJoe Griddle.<br \/>\nAnd wow, what a mouthful.<br \/>\nSo it\u2019s come through just fantastic.<br \/>\nChasing it down.<br \/>\nI think you\u2019ll really like this recipe, that simple as it can get.<br \/>\nMoJoe Griddle worked out flawlessly.<br \/>\nKind of put a little bit of salt on there, scrape off the crud, put a little more oil on it, it\u2019d to be season ready for next
