Some of your braver souls will throw a potato or some corn on also. Your TV superstars will dazzle you with all sorts of barbecue magic and they have a crew and budget to support it. I am an normal guy with a small kitchen, small budget and no crew but I can bake bread on my grill!! You could even eat it! How many can say that? Well I'll show you how I did it and how simple it was.<a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3051\/2643280713_212261c06a_m.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" alt=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3051\/2643280713_212261c06a_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sourdough Bread Recipe<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 cups proofed sourdough starter<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tbs butter (melted)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/2 cup warm milk (85 degrees)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tbs sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3 cups bread flour<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preparation<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2022\/2643283157_fe6b47b66b_m.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" alt=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2022\/2643283157_fe6b47b66b_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>Proof sourdough starter overnight, at least 8 &#8211; 12 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add starter, melted butter, warm milk, salt, sugar. Mix until blended well. Add flour, 1 cup at a time and mix until it forms a ball.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turn onto board and kneed until you get a smooth and silky texture. Form into desired shape and place to let rise, covered at 85 degrees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3010\/2643282627_98450324fa_m.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" alt=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3010\/2643282627_98450324fa_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let dough rise to almost double, it should be ready to bake. You don't have to re-knead it, it's ready to go. Run a sharp knife across the top of the dough ball just before barbecuing and don't forget to use indirect heat only! (even though the burnt crust tastes great!)<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baking<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3167\/2643281511_9223038fec_m.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" alt=\"Barbecued Sourdough Bread for beginners\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3167\/2643281511_9223038fec_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>Preheat BBQ to about 375 degrees, place dough on baking grid or sheet. Using in-direct heat place dough into center of BBQ. Bake for about\u00a040 minutes. Try not to peak, just use your nose, it's the same with Dutch oven cooking.
