I really didn't follow the process completely because I couldn't wait to cook in it! I had a rack of St. Louis cut ribs that was just screaming at me to smoke'em.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nothing fancy here just one of my favorite rubs and a rack of St. Louis cut ribs. After all the Char-Griller was hot and ready to go. Bible : Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades, Bastes, Butters, and Glazes<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=cookingoutdoo-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0761119795\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Just a very simple sweet\/hot dry rub that goes very well with ribs:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Basic Barbecue Rub<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/4 cup coarse salt<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/4 cup (packed) brown sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/4 cup paprika<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tablespoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tablespoon dried onion flakes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/2 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1\/2 teaspoon celery seeds<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Put the rub on about 1 hour before smoking to dry marinade the ribs.
