It is best known to sports fishermen, as its speed and high-quality flesh make it a prize game fish. In Hawaii, the wahoo is known as <strong>ono.<\/strong> Many Hispanic areas of the Caribbean and Central America refer to this fish as <em>peto<\/em>.(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!-- \/tagline --><!-- subtitle -->&#8220;Tastes like Chicken!&#8221; So my exclaims my young son, wolfing down another bite. Not too chicken like for me though, delightfully subtle taste and texture, accented with only salt and pepper. I prefer to define Wahoo as a firm, flaky white fish that textures similar to Salmon but with little flavor to overly dominate the taste. Certainly a new &#8220;go-to&#8221; fish for me. I picked\u00a0up a flash frozen package of three steaks from my local Trader Joe's.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"Bacon on the Island Grillstone.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cooking-outdoors\/6625482165\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;\" title=\"Grilled Wahoo steaks on the Island grillstone\" alt=\"Grilled Wahoo steaks on the Island grillstone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7171\/6625482165_ec6daa4651.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Start off pre-heating your Island Grillstone to 350 degrees. Three pieces of bacon should do the job! Grill till crisp, remove to cool on a paper towel.
