I thought as many people do, that this recipe would be too challenging for the grill or my culinary skills. Wrong on both counts was the results of finally getting around to cooking this amazing recipe on the grill. Beef Wellington only requires a few basic skills such as saut\u00e9ing and baking on the grill. The ingredient list is minimal and the time to put it together is a little over an hour depending on your prep skills.<\/p>\n<p>I can say that the price tag on making Beef Wellington's is a bit steep for most budgets. My cost for this recipe ran a little over $50 for two Beef Wellington's. The ingredient list is minimal and the time to put it together is a little over an hour depending on your prep skill<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 Filet Mignon, 1 1\/2 &#8211; 2 inches thick<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 sheet of puff pastry<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 c chopped flat leaf parsley<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 c diced yellow onion<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 green onions, sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tbsp stone ground mustard<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 c red wine<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 &lt;g class=&#8221;gr_ gr_80 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace&#8221; id=&#8221;80&#8243; data-gr-id=&#8221;80&#8243;&gt;pd&lt;\/g&gt; mushrooms, sliced, stems removed<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 slices Proscuitto<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">coarse salt & black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">egg wash (1 egg w\/ water mixed)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Melt butter in pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Saut\u00e9 mushrooms, yellow onions, green onions and parsley until most of the moisture has cooked out.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add wine and cook till absorbed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Set aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Preheat grill to 425\u00ba F.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Generously coat Filet Mignon with salt & pepper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Quickly sear Filet Mignon on all sides.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Set aside to rest.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Roll out puff pastry thin enough to cut into 2 squares able to wrap each filet.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Coat filet with coarse ground mustard.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Wrap 1 &#8211; 2 pieces of Proscuitto around each filet.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1\/4th of mushroom mixture to puff pastry.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place fillets in center of puff pastry.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add another 1\/4th of mushroom mixture to the top of the filet.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Fold pastry around filet to wrap completely and use the egg wash to make edges stick together.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place wrapped filets on grill pan or skillet to bake.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Bake for 25 minutes for medium rare.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.5.3226<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beef Wellington&#8217;s\u00a0have been on my Outdoor Cooking bucket list for several years as an &#8220;I can do this&#8221; challenge recipe.
