baby back ribs, really quick, little bit of sweet and a whole bunch of flavor on the Cooking Everything Outdoors show.<br \/>\nAnnouncer:<br \/>\nThe Cooking Everything Outdoors show is sponsored by Camp Chef, and www.OutdoorCooking.com and www.IslandGrillstone.com.<br \/>\nPresenter:<br \/>\nSo what the heck do I mean by quick?<br \/>\nWhat I\u2019m talking about is grilling ribs in an hour, or less.<br \/>\nSo I\u2019m going to show you how to make baby back ribs on the grill in under an hour.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to flavor these up with the beautiful 5 spice rub and then we\u2019re going to coat it with a Hoisin flavored barbecue sauce.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s get going, I\u2019m going to go over the ingredients right now.<br \/>\nYou\u2019re going to need 2 tablespoons of Chinese 5 spice powder.<br \/>\n1 tablespoon of brown sugar.<br \/>\nThis is light brown sugar.<br \/>\n1 tablespoon of kosher salt.<br \/>\n1\/2 a teaspoon cayenne pepper.<br \/>\n1\/2 a teaspoon garlic powder.<br \/>\n1\/2 a teaspoon of black pepper.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s give those a quick mix.<br \/>\nMake sure you break any clumps that might be in there.<br \/>\nSo what I have here is a full rack of baby back ribs.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve already removed the membrane on the backside and these are trimmed up pretty nicely.<br \/>\nSo we\u2019re just going to apply our rub directly to these.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t be too shy on this.<br \/>\nYou want to get it on both sides.<br \/>\nOnce you have those coated, we\u2019re just going to cover it and set it aside.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s get our fire started.<br \/>\nI\u2019m using 100% natural lump charcoal.<br \/>\nThis is oak and what I have is my grill set up somewhat unorthodoxed, but I have indirect heat, so two zones or hot here.<br \/>\nAnd then I do have some coals in the middle which is with less temperature than the sides.<br \/>\nSo it\u2019s indirect, yet I\u2019m getting some bottomed direct heat.<br \/>\nThere is some sugar in that rub and I don\u2019t want it to burn too much right away.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s going to caramelize, it\u2019s going to happen.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to cook this pretty fast.<br \/>\nSo you\u2019re going to have to watch this, but that\u2019s basically how I have it set up.<br \/>\nI have my grill heated about 350 degrees, which is right where I wanted to start.<br \/>\nSo it means the coals are ready, got my ambient temperature inside the zone where it needs to be and we\u2019re going to put our ribs on now.<br \/>\nNow I want these bones side down.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019re just going to put them right there in the center so they\u2019re going to cook fairly fast.<br \/>\nI\u2019ll probably leave it on this side for about 20 minutes.<br \/>\nSo while our ribs are cooking, let\u2019s put together our barbecue sauce.<br \/>\nSo we\u2019re going to start out with 3 cloves of garlic, minced.<br \/>\n1 tablespoon of ketchup.<br \/>\n2 tablespoons of soya sauce.<br \/>\n1 tablespoon of Hoisin sauce.<br \/>\n2 tablespoons of sweet vermouth or red wine would be fine.<br \/>\nTablespoon of fresh ginger, grated.<br \/>\nAnd then a tablespoon of honey.<br \/>\nAnd let\u2019s get these all blended together.<br \/>\nWell, our ribs have been going for about 25 minutes.<br \/>\nI took a quick temp on this, we\u2019re about 140 internal.<br \/>\nSo they\u2019re coming along really nicely.<br \/>\nNow what I want to do is give them a flip.<br \/>\nBoy, you can sure smell those spices coming together.<br \/>\nNow we\u2019re going to cook this for another 30-40 minutes.<br \/>\nI\u2019m looking at about 180-185.<br \/>\nI\u2019ll probably start saucing them at about 180.<br \/>\nSo our ribs are pretty much done.<br \/>\nTotal time in there has been about 55 minutes.<br \/>\nSo what I want to do is give them a flip.<br \/>\nYou can already see I\u2019m getting some pull away on the bones and some nice color there, and I\u2019m going to start saucing these up.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to do these two or three times.<br \/>\nOkay, we\u2019re sauced up, it\u2019s time to pull these and start serving them.<br \/>\nJust look at those.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to add a little bit of sesame to these.<br \/>\nSome green onions.<br \/>\nAnd that\u2019s what we\u2019re talking about.<br \/>\nLittle bit of an Asian twist, the Chinese 5 spice comes through very, very nicely.<br \/>\nAnd it\u2019s tender.<br \/>\nAnd these are 1 hour ribs.<br \/>\nSo I think it\u2019s a big win.<br \/>\nIf you don\u2019t have a lot of time and you want to knock out a set of ribs, this is the way to go.<br \/>\nJust grill them up and you\u2019d be surprised what you get out of these.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to go pop a beer and have lunch.<br \/>\nI\u2019ll see
