Dutch oven cooking is one of my favorite techniques for bringing out all the flavors in a recipe, plus cooking in a Dutch oven make this recipe easy to cook anywhere. Olive oil<br \/>\n2 cans of beer<br \/>\n1 pound of brats<br \/>\n1 large yellow onion, diced<br \/>\n5 cloves minced garlic<br \/>\n1 tsp. fennel seed<br \/>\n1 large red pepper, chopped<br \/>\n2 tsp. Steak Seasoning<br \/>\n\u00bd cup fresh cilantro, chopped<br \/>\n\u00bd cup diced tomatoes<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>\u00a0VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:<\/h3>\n<p>Presenter:<br \/>\nHey, everyone, today we\u2019re making beer brats and potatoes, comfort food for just about any occasion on the Cooking Everything Outdoors show.<br \/>\nAnnouncer:<br \/>\nThe Cooking Everything Outdoors show is sponsored by Camp Chef, and www.OutdoorCooking.com and www.IslandGrillstone.com.<br \/>\nPresenter:<br \/>\nYou know, after all these years I can\u2019t believe I haven\u2019t cooked a beer brats recipe on the Cooking Everything Outdoors show.<br \/>\nWell, my friends over at Klondike Brands ask me to cook their version.<br \/>\nI jumped at the chance.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s go over our ingredients for our beer brats and potatoes recipe.<br \/>\nFor this recipe you can use either Klondike Goldust potatoes or Klondike Rose potatoes, they\u2019re both fantastic.<br \/>\nNeed 2 tablespoons of olive oil.<br \/>\n2 cans of beer.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to using Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest.<br \/>\n1 pound of brats.<br \/>\n1 very large onion, diced.<br \/>\n5 cloves of minced garlic.<br \/>\n1 teaspoon of fennel seed.<br \/>\n2 teaspoons of steak seasoning.<br \/>\nThis is McCormick\u2019s Montreal Steak Seasoning.<br \/>\n1\/2 a cup of fresh cilantro.<br \/>\nAnd 1\/2 a cup of diced tomatoes, these are Romas.<br \/>\nAnd 1 large red bell pepper, chopped.<br \/>\nSo let\u2019s get cooking.<br \/>\nNow, we\u2019re going to take our Dutch Oven and we\u2019re going to heat this up on low heat with Somerset Stove.<br \/>\nGoing to add our beer.<br \/>\nAdd our potatoes.<br \/>\nOur brats.<br \/>\nAnd our onions.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019re going to get these cooking, you don\u2019t want to boil this; otherwise, it\u2019ll burst the casing on the brats.<br \/>\nSo it\u2019s just going to be a very low simmer until everything\u2019s cooked thoroughly.<br \/>\nSo when your brats are done, now this is pork, so you want to make sure that you\u2019re at least 145.<br \/>\nYou can cook at a little bit longer, but I don\u2019t recommend it because they\u2019ll dry out and taste like chalk if you know what I mean.<br \/>\nCarefully remove your brats.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019re going to pat them dry in some paper towels, and go right into phase 2 of our recipe.<br \/>\nSo, now on our skillet we want to add our olive oil.<br \/>\nOur fennel seed.<br \/>\nOur garlic.<br \/>\nAnd our red peppers.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019re going to saute these a little bit until they\u2019re tender.<br \/>\nOnce our red peppers and fennel and garlic have saut\u00e9ed for a little while, we\u2019re going to add our brats into this so that we can brown them up.<br \/>\nSo after a few minutes you\u2019ll see some nice color on your brats, and that\u2019s when we want to pull them.<br \/>\nJust set them in a bowl or a shallow dish.<br \/>\nSet that aside and then add your potatoes and onions.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to saute these for a little while now.<br \/>\nWhile our potatoes and the rest of our vegetables are sauteing, this would be a good time to season up your brats.<br \/>\nSo we\u2019re going to apply steak seasoning.<br \/>\nOur tomatoes.<br \/>\nAnd our cilantro.<br \/>\nYou may find it easier to mix all these up with your hands, or you can just take some tongs and coat everything.<br \/>\nHey, we\u2019re done, let\u2019s plate these up.<br \/>\nGet some of our delicious Klondike Rose potatoes, red peppers, onions, garlic, fennel.<br \/>\nAnd then our beautiful brats, beer braised brats.<br \/>\nWe want to add some of our beer braised liquid, because this stuff is gold.<br \/>\nAnd that, my friends, is how we do beer brats and potatoes, Cooking Outdoors style, perfect for tailgating, camping or just cooking in your backyard.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cooking-outdoors.com\/dutch-oven-beer-brats-potatoes-recipe\/dutch-oven-beer-brats-and-potatoes-recipe\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11284\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-11284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cooking-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Dutch-oven-Beer-Brats-and-Potatoes-recipe-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"Dutch oven Beer Brats and Potatoes recipe\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cooking-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Dutch-oven-Beer-Brats-and-Potatoes-recipe-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cooking-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Dutch-oven-Beer-Brats-and-Potatoes-recipe.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dutch oven Beer Brats and Potatoes Recipe!
