Potato Crust Breakfast Pizza!<\/p>\n<p>This is a basic recipe I received from my friends over at Klondike Brands, their Klondike \u201cGoldust\u201d Potato Crust Pizza. Of course I had to put my own personal spin on the toppings and I couldn\u2019t get breakfast out of my head when I first tried it.<\/p>\n<p>So here is my version of Klondike Brands Potato Crust Pizza potatoes, grated, firmly packed<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 egg, beaten<br \/>\n\u00bc cup grated onion, caramelized<br \/>\nVegetable oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>Video Transcript:<\/em> <\/strong><br \/>\nPresenter:<br \/>\nHey, everyone, it\u2019s going to 104 degrees today.<br \/>\nCrazy hot.<br \/>\nSo I thought I\u2019d get up a little early and make a Potato Crust Breakfast Pizza for you on the Cooking Everything Outdoors show.<br \/>\nAnnouncer:<br \/>\nThe Cooking Everything Outdoors show is sponsored by Camp Chef and www.OutdoorCooking.com and www.IslandGrillstone.com.<br \/>\nPresenter:<br \/>\nSo the original recipe came from my friends at Klondike Brands.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s their potato crust pizza.<br \/>\nAnd it\u2019s basically just a potato crust and you put all your flavorings on top of it.<br \/>\nAnd I thought what a perfect idea for breakfast pizza and that\u2019s we\u2019re going to make today.<br \/>\nSo, for our ingredients for our potato crust pizza you\u2019re going to need about 2 pounds of shredded Klondike Gold Potatoes, about a 1\/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 egg scrambled, 1\/4 cup of caramelized onion, some vegetable oil.<br \/>\nAnd I\u2019m going to be adding some fresh cracked rainbow peppercorns.<br \/>\nThe first thing we need to do is we need to shred our 2 pounds of potatoes and do this however you need to do it, but I just about basically a shredder box here.<br \/>\nSo now we need to get the moisture out of our shredded potatoes.<br \/>\nAnd I\u2019ll just use a flower towel.<br \/>\nYou can use paper towels.<br \/>\nYou can use your hands.<br \/>\nBut we\u2019re just going to dump those out and, you know, there\u2019s a lot of water content in potatoes and we\u2019re going to bring out as much water possible can.<br \/>\nSo let\u2019s mix this up and get our crust ready.<br \/>\nSo I add our salt.<br \/>\nOur egg.<br \/>\nOur onion.<br \/>\nAnd the rainbow peppercorns.<br \/>\nAnd then you want to save the oil.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to show you what that\u2019s going to be used for in a little bit.<br \/>\nJust get in there and blend this all up.<br \/>\nSo at this point you have a couple of options.<br \/>\nYou can layer your potato crust pizza in a pie pan, which works really nice or you can use a pizza pan, which I like to use.<br \/>\nAnd this one has a little bit of lip, but I don\u2019t think I have enough to go out that far.<br \/>\nSo, take a little bit of the vegetable oil or some spray oil and let\u2019s coat the bottom of the pan, and then we\u2019re going to spread our potatoes out really thinly.<br \/>\nAnd I look for roughly a 1\/4 to 3\/8 of an inch.<br \/>\nSo, to cook our potato crust breakfast pizza I\u2019m going to be using the Camp Chef Somerset Gas Grill and the Italia pizza oven accessory.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to cook the potato crust first.<br \/>\nSo I\u2019m going to preheat this.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to get it cranked up 450-500 degrees and then we\u2019ll put this in the oven.<br \/>\nWell, we\u2019re at 475, creeping up to 500.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s right where I want it.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to put our potato crust pizza, our base.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re going to put that in the pizza oven for about 20 minutes.<br \/>\nSo our potato crust pizza is just about done.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to start working on my toppings.<br \/>\nNow this is your breakfast you do it your way, this is what I\u2019m going to be doing.<br \/>\nI have some nice mushrooms, some red pepper, some green onion, some yellow onion, and some sausage, and of course, some eggs will be going on the top of this.<br \/>\nSkill is hot, let\u2019s get some sausage going.<br \/>\nAnd I want to get my onions in there, too.<br \/>\nThese are going to take the longest to cook.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s add in the rest of our ingredients, red pepper, mushrooms, green onions.<br \/>\nNow we need to oil our pizza crust.<br \/>\nJust a little bit of oil on the top of this and the reason we\u2019re doing that is because it\u2019s good to crisp it up just a little bit more.<br \/>\nSo, put that back in our pizza oven.<br \/>\nKeep an eye on it.<br \/>\nYou don\u2019t want to burn it.<br \/>\nAnd we\u2019ll brown that up a bit more.<br \/>\nPut our toppings on and finish this bad boy up.<br \/>\nAlright, let\u2019s load this up.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s add our eggs.<br \/>\nI\u2019m going to add some cheese when it\u2019s done.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s get this back in the pizza oven.<br \/>\nOur breakfast pizza should be ready.<br \/>\nThere you go.<br \/>\nLet\u2019s sprinkle on a little bit of cheese.<br \/>\nAnd that\u2019s it, my friends, it\u2019s the Klondike Brands Potato crust breakfast pizza recipe.<br \/>\nI hope you like this.<br \/>\nI
