Thanks Larry!

It is a canoe, that we don’t use enough sadly, but hopefully that will change now that the boys are older. I actually live in Oakdale, about 30 minutes away from Turlock. Smaller town, but we do have a Kmart and two Starbucks 🙂

Gary

Hey, Gary, is that a CANOE that I see covered in your yard? I’m a canoer (former Red Cross Canoeing Instructor) so I pick up on “shapes” like that. I have always thought Turlock looked like a great place to live. I always knew when I got to the “Caterpiller Tractor” & the airport that is so close to 99 that you think the planes are landing on 99(!) that I was in Turlock. I’m down in the South end of the Valley-in Bakersfield, which is a wonderful place to live, also! One last thing, I made the Mountain Man Breakfast with the Biscuits on top for my family in a #10. There were NO LEFTOVERS! You had a great idea! Thanks for adding some quality to life. Larry

Larry, great advice! I completely forgot about the UC Coop here in Turlock. They should have some great advice. I’ll keep the Master Gardeners in mind also, I had several working for me over the years when I was running Hardware stores, great wealth of knowledge there too.

It’s a great opportunity for city dwellers to learn the basics of soils, water, planting, pruning, pest control, etc. Love your stuff, Gary!

Dionne, I have wanted to have some chickens for quite awhile now. My
neighbors have chickens and we used to get some of the eggs from them,
so good! Updates to come as progress is made

We have a compost bin, some raised beds and large pots for growing our edibles. I can’t wait to see your garden progress.
